The mission of the Education and Training Committee is to promote the highest quality education and training for families and professionals and to disseminate evidenced-based behavioral treatment strategies within the professional and public community, thus improving the quality of life for individuals with special needs and their families. Since its inception, the education and training committee has accomplished many of its initial tasks including the creation of a behavior interventionist task list to standardize training protocols for those hired to work 1:1 with individuals with special needs, holding lectures on special topics such as parent education and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) supervision models, and providing Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for those seeking Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) units.
